How did you feel during this week of practice?
I feel very motivated this week.
Where did you see the most improvement?
My L-Drill times vastly improved this week.
Which body part is the most sore?
My whole body has been sore but we have great recovery methods to keep me feeling good for the next workout.
What motivational quote or image resonated with you this week?
"Sacrifice for an unknown."
What drill are you going to try to improve most in next week?
The drills that we do change daily so we're constantly improving in all aspects of the game.
What was your favorite healthy meal of the week?
One day during lunch, I ate a ham & yam panini crafted by the EXOS staff. I swear I'm not the kind of guy that takes pictures of my food but it was so good I had to snap a picture of it and send it to my dad.
What was your favorite cheat meal of the week?
I haven't really been eating any cheat meals, unless you count our 20% Wednesdays at EXOS. 20% Wednesdays are when you're supposed to eat clean 80% of the time and then you get to choose what to eat during the remaining 20%. On Wednesday's dinner there is a buffet of these 20% foods. This week we had fried chicken, catfish, sweet potatoes, collard greens, and cornbread. Even though these are 20% foods, they were still prepared in a healthy way.
How do you feel your week went and how are you going to improve next week?
This week went well. I was able to get my first full week in and it was great. It gave me an idea of what to expect each day of the week going forward. I am starting to see where I am going to be able to make gains and I have an idea of where I'm currently at. To improve next week, I'm just going to make sure to focus on getting better with the technical aspects of the tests. The more I can clean those up, the better I'll be able to test when it's time.
Any other thoughts you want to share?
Over the past couple weekends I've been able to get out in my newly adopted city and see both the Arizona Coyotes (NHL) and Phoenix Suns (NBA) play. The Coyotes game was my first ever NHL game and it was great! It'd be awesome to be able to get out there again when my Montreal Canadiens come to town in the next couple of months. We'll see. For now, ther are definitely more pressing matters but being able to get out and see those games has been a fun way to chill out and relax. (Editor's Note: AKA Chillax).
Notes:
I want to give a shout out to Mom and Dad for getting me here and to my sister, Ali Forde, for generally being awesome as well as being a beast on the court.
